Fascisti a Dublino? no Pasaran!

Sabato pomeriggio a Dublino il movimento razzista e anti-islamico Pegida ha organizzato una manifestazione. Come risposta i vari gruppi repubblicani e della sinistra irlandese hanno convocato una contro-manifestazione che ha come obiettivo impedire la marcia annunciata dell’estrema destra. Abbiamo chiesto a Michael Dixie Dickson militante repubblicano di Dublino di spiegarci la situazione.

I gruppi anti-fascisti irlandesi si stanno preparando per opporsi alla mobilitazione anti rifugiati prevista per questo sabato a Dublino. L’organizzazione Pegida sta infatti lanciando una serie di cortei in giro per l’Europa in nome dell’opposizione alla “crescita dell’Islam”.

Peter O’Loughlin del gruppo anti-immigrazione Identity Ireland sta lavorando con Tommy Robinson, fondatore del gruppo ultrà di estrema destra English Defence League, alla costruzione di questo fronte comune.

I “patrioti” di Identity Ireland hanno invitato Tommy Robinson a Cork per lanciare il tentativo di stabilire una propaggine irlandese del movimento razzista e anti-islamico Pegida.

L’ironia di un’organizzazione irlandese che supporta dei fascisti inglesi sembra sfuggire a Peter O’Loughlin e compagni. Per decenni quelli come Robinson hanno riempito le città inglesi di retorica e di violenza anti-irlandese ma ora hanno un “nuovo nemico”.

E’ dai tempi delle camicie blu che un’organizzazione fascista non cerca il supporto nelle fasce popolari irlandesi. Tornando agli anni ’30 le camice blu si erano strutturate sulla falsariga delle camice marroni di Adolf Hitler. Al giorno d’oggi la Germania sta esportando un’altra teoria carica di odio che questa volta ha come obiettivo i Musulmani anziché gli Ebrei.

Identity Ireland, l’ English Defence League, Pegida e tutte le altre sigle neonaziste, fasciste e razziste rappresentano una sfida diretta contro i capisaldi dell’uguaglianza repubblicana.

Il loro obbiettivo è dividere i lavoratori secondo la religione, il colore della pelle, la nazionalità o altre false line di frammentazione. In quest’opera di convincimento stanno scommettendo sulla classe al governo. Speriamo che gli irlandesi sappiano trattare questi mercanti di odio come prima avevano trattato le camice blu.

Sabato sarà il giorno in cui una linea sarà tracciata chiaramente sulla sabbia, dicendo ai fascisti che non saranno tollerati in nessuna strada d’Irlanda e se sabato proveranno a opporsi scopriranno tutta la forza dei repubblicani e dei gruppi di sinistra.

ANTI-FASCIST groups in Ireland are mobilising to oppose the launch in Dublin this Saturday at 3pm at the GPO of the anti-refugee Pegida organisation to coincide with a series of rallies across Europe in the name of opposing ‘the growth of Islam’.
Peter O’Loughlin of anti-immigrant group Identity Ireland has been working with the founder of the right-wing street hooligan English Defence League, Tommy Robinson, in setting up Pegida in
Ireland.
“The ‘patriots’ in Identity Ireland invited English Defence League founder Tommy Robinson to Cork to announce that they are going to attempt to establish an Irish branch of the racist and anti-Islamic ‘Pegida’ on February 6th.
The irony of any Irish organisation supporting a British fascist seems to be lost on Peter O’Loughlin and Co. For decades the likes of Robinson have championed anti-Irish rhetoric and anti-Irish violence in cities across England. But now they have a ‘new enemy’ – so Paddy is now awright!
Not since the time of the Blueshirts has a fascist organisation enjoyed any level of popular support in the Twenty-Six Counties. Back in the 1930’s the Blueshirt modeled themselves on the
Brownshirts led by one Adolf Hitler. Now Germany is exporting another hate-filled philosophy that has Muslims not Jews in its’ sights.
Identity Ireland, the English Defence League, Pegida and all of the other assorted neo-nazi, fascist and racist organisations represent a direct challenge to the cornerstone of Republicanism – Equality.

They wish to divide the working class along the lines of religion, skin colour, nationality and other false divisions. In doing so they do the bidding of the ruling class. Hopefully the Irish people will see through these hate-mongers as they have previously seen through the likes of the Blueshirts.
Saturday will be the day when a clear line will be drawn in the sand,telling fascists that they will not be tolerated on any street in Ireland,and if like on Saturday they try to organise they will be meet with the full force of all Republican and left wing groups.
