Appello per l’immediata scarcerazione di Sama Abdulhadi
Chiede l’immediato rilascio di Sama Abdulhadi [di seguito la versione inglese e araba].
Noi sottoscritti chiediamo l’immediato rilascio dell’artista e musicista palestinese Sama Abdulhadi, che è stata illegalmente arrestata dall’Autorità Palestinese il 27 dicembre 2020.
Martedì 29 dicembre un giudice ha deciso di prolungare la sua detenzione per altri 15 giorni perché “la musica techno non fa parte del patrimonio palestinese!”.
L’arresto di Sama è avvenuto dopo l’attacco a una registrazione privata per uno spettacolo in streaming presso il Nabi Mousa di Gerico da parte di un gruppo di giovani, che ha fermato l’evento e ha minacciato i partecipanti. Questo attacco è stato seguito da una feroce campagna di disinformazione sui social media che ha alimentato reazioni violente e attacchi personali contro Sama.
Il sito, Maqam Nabi Musa, è sotto la custodia del Ministero del Turismo palestinese che ha dato l’autorizzazione scritta per organizzare e filmare il concerto nel sito del Bazaar (non nella moschea). Il ministero era a conoscenza del tipo di musica che sarebbe stata suonata al concerto – techno – e che questo concerto sarebbe stato filmato alla presenza di Sama Abdulhadi, una delle donne arabe leader nella musica techno nel mondo, per promuovere i siti storici e la musica techno palestinese tra il pubblico di tutto il mondo.
Sama Abdulhadi e gli organizzatori del concerto potrebbero non essersi resi conto che questo tipo di musica non era adatto al sito e alle sue associazioni storiche, religiose e culturali, tuttavia resta la piena responsabilità del Ministero del Turismo nel prendere la decisione di consentire che il concerto avesse luogo.
Sama Abdulhadi è stata nominata capro espiatorio e ritenuta responsabile di un crimine che non è accaduto e che lei non ha certamente commesso.
Anche se l’Autorità Palestinese ha annunciato di aver istituito un comitato per indagare sugli eventi a seguito del clamore pubblico, fino a questo momento abbiamo ricevuto solo silenzio da parte dei funzionari, oltre all’arresto illegale di un’artista senza alcuna divulgazione dei dettagli dell’indagine.
La detenzione di Sama Abdulhadi da parte dell’Autorità Palestinese per “domare” la rabbia pubblica è un’evasione ufficiale di responsabilità, nascondersi dietro Sama invece di affrontare la crisi legale e accettare la responsabilità.
Chiediamo il suo rilascio immediato e il rispetto della libertà e dei diritti culturali e artistici da parte dell’Autorità Palestinese.
We, the undersigned, call for the immediate release of Palestinian artist and musician Sama Abdulhadi, who was illegally detained by the Palestinian Authority on the 27th of December 2020. On Tuesday 29 December a judge decided to extend her detention for 15 additional days because “techno music is not part of Palestinian heritage!”
The arrest of Sama occurred after the attack on a private recording for a streamed performance the Nabi Mousa in Jericho by a group of young people, who stopped the event and threatened the attendees. This attack was followed by a vicious campaign of misinformation on social media which fueled violent reactions and personal attacks against Sama’.
The site, Maqam Nabi Musa, is under the custody of the Palestinian Ministry of Tourism who gave written approval to organize and film the concert in the Bazaar site (not in the mosque which is part of the site).
The ministry was aware of the type of music that will be played at the concert- techno- and that this concert will be filmed in this archaeological site featuring Sama Abdulhadi, one of the leading Arab women in techno music in the world, to promote Palestinian heritage sites and Palestinian techno music amongst music audiences around the world.
Sama Abdulhadi and the organizers of the concert may not have realized that this type of music was unsuitable for the site and its historical, religious and cultural associations, yet it remains that the Ministry of Tourism bears full responsibility for taking the decision to allow the concert to take place.
Sama Abdulhadi is being made a scapegoat and held accountable for a crime that did not happen and one that she certainly did not commit.
Even though the Palestinian Authority has announced that it established a committee to investigate the events following public uproar, until this moment, we have received only silence from officials, in addition to the illegal arrest of an artist without any disclosure of the details of the investigation. The PA’s detention of Sama Abdulhadi to “tame” public anger is an official evasion of responsibility, hiding behind Sama instead of confronting the legal crisis and accepting responsibility.
We call for her immediate release and respect for cultural and artistic freedom and rights by the Palestinian Authority.
المطالبة بالإفراج الفوري عن سماء عبد الهادي
نحن الموقعين والموقعات أدناه نُطالب بالإفراج الفوري عن الفنانة والموسيقية سماء عبد الهادي، المعتقلة بشكل غير قانوني منذ مساء الأحد، السابع والعشرين من كانون أول/ ديسمبر 2020 لدى السلطة الفلسطينية. وقد تم تمديد اعتقالها صباح اليوم، الثلاثاء التاسع والعشرين من كانون أول/ ديسمبر 2020 لمدة 15 يوماً، والسبب هو لأن موسيقى التكنو ليست من التراث الفلسطيني
جاء اعتقال سماء عبد الهادي بعد الاعتداء على تصوير خاصّ لعرض موسيقي كانت إحدى منظميه في مقام النبي موسى في أريحا، مساء يوم السبت، وذلك على يد مجموعة من الشبان الذين اقتحموا العرض وأوقفوه وطردوا الناس من هناك بالصراخ والتهديد.
منذ انتشار فيديو فضّ العرض، شنّت عبر وسائل السوشال والميديا وبعض وسائل الإعلام الفلسطينية حملة تحريضية لعبت دوراً في إشعال نار عنف وحشية راحت ضحيتها سماء عبد الهادي، متجاهلة منذ اللحظة الأولى بأن سماء والقائمين على التسجيل كانوا قد حصلوا على تصريح من وزارة السياحة بشأن إقامته في الموقع المذكور.
في الطلب الذي أُرسل لوزارة السياحة، كونها الجهة المسؤولة عن موقع إقامة الحفل (ساحة السوق وليس المسجد)، ذُكر أن الطلب هو بشأن إقامة حفل كجزء من فيلم يروّج الموسيقى الإلكترونية عالمياً، ويأتي هذا الحفل لإقامة عروض لموسيقيين فلسطينيين في مواقع أثرية فلسطينية بالتعاون مع سماء عبد الهادي، كإحدى النساء العربيات الرائدات في مجال موسيقى التكنو بالعالم.
بالتالي، كان واضحا في طلب التصريح، والموافقة عليه من قبل الوزارة، أن نوع الموسيقى هي التكنو. ومع أن سماء عبد الهادي والقائمين على الحفل لم يخطر على بالهم أن هذا النوع من الموسيقى قد لا يتناسب مع الموقع ومكانته التاريخية والدينية والثقافية، إلا أن وزارة السياحة هي التي يقع على عاتقها حسن تقدير الموقف والأخذ بعين الاعتبار لكل الأبعاد المرتبطة بتنظيم مثل هذا الحفل قبل الموافقة على استخدام المكان، مما يجعلها تتحمل المسؤولية الكاملة عن عواقبه، وليس سماء عبد الهادي المعتقلة حتى الآن، ككبش فداء، وتحاسب على جريمة لم ترتكبها.
منذ لحظة انتشار الفيديو وما أثاره من ضجة، صرّحت بعض الجهات الحكومية الفلسطينية بأنها أسست لجنة تحقيق بالحفل والبحث عن الجهات المسؤولة من ورائه، وحتى هذه اللحظة، لم يصلنا من المسؤولين سوى صمتاً بالإضافة إلى اعتقال غير قانوني لفنانة بلا أي كشف عن تقصي هذه اللجنة للحقائق بشأن الأزمة المذكورة، ما يشير إلى أن “سهولة” اعتقال سماء عبد الهادي من أجل “ترويض” غضب الرأي العام هو تهرب رسمي من أي مسؤولية والاختباء وراء سماء من خلال اعتقالها غير القانوني بدل من مواجهة الأزمة قانونياً من قبل من هم في مناصب مسؤولة في هذا البلد وعليهم هم أولاً تحملها، مما يدل على ضعف وهشاشة المنظومة الحاكمة بكل ما يتعلّق بهذه الأزمة، بما في ذلك غيابهم تماماً عن إيقاف التحريض الوحشي والعنيف ضد سماء عبد الهادي والعمل من أجل السلم الأهلي عاجلاً أم آجلاً
